From Reframing to Resistance: DEI in the Current Political Era
Drawing on insights from The Big Lie About Race in America’s Schools, this community conversation with Royel M. Johnson will examine the current wave of political attacks on DEI and their short- and long-term implications for higher education. Together, we’ll explore how campus leaders are navigating this contested terrain — from strategic reframing of equity efforts to more overt forms of institutional resistance. In doing so, we’ll review what is gained, what is lost, and what is possible when DEI is simultaneously under fire and being reimagined.
