Description: Students with learning disabilities must embark on their postsecondary education with understandings about their learning profile, self-advocacy skills, and a sense of agency necessary to develop effective academic routines and take advantage of available support in the college environment. Much can be done while students are still in high school to prepare for this responsibility and for success in their postsecondary studies. Join us for this webinar as Ace Parsi of the National Center for Learning Disabilities and Sarah Williams of East Carolina University's STEPP program discuss practical tips and resources that counselors, teachers, students, and their families can use to prepare students for transition to college. The presenters will also provide an overview of the College Bound Transition Curriculum – a free resource for families and schools.
